Nice selection of both Whisky and Whiskey
This is a review of the Whiskey Room. Although it can get a bit noisy later in the evening (I'm showing my age), the ambiance, especially by the fire, can be really nice. I am a bit of a whisky snob, so this place is fun for me. They have a great selection of whisky (at prices to be expected). There are whiskies here that you can't get anywhere else in VT (or most other places for that matter). Although I have only eaten there once, the food was not bad at all. Twice in a week great both times
I was looking at my other reviews and realized i only comment when I'm disappointed. We love RiRas their patio is well umbrella-ed, the food is much better than the other tavern on the street. the service is always professional and it is great to listen to the music from Red Square and drink and dine. Our first choice on church st, but we will look elsewhere if there is a wait. If they all have a wait we are back to this place. this is our favorite block as all the restaurants are good here Food: 4 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Great fish and chips
Went out with family early on a week night and had a great time and a great meal. The fish and chips were perfectly prepared and nice crusty outside and a nice moist fillet inside. We will go back soon. Oh yea, the Switchback's were tasty as well. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 4

excellent food
I really enjoy the food here...especially the grilled chicken sandwich. I also enjoy getting a woodpecker, which is a brittish cider. (I don't think you can get a woodpecker anywhere else in the area). The inside is pretty neat too...it looks like an old irish pub. It is also fun to eat outside on church street in the summer. I would highly recommend this place! Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

I LOVE this place!
This was the first time my husband and I had ever eaten lunch at RiRa's and it is now our new favorite place for lunch. The place was just the right kind of noisy, with some great 80's music heard easily over the bustle of happy bar voices (Red Sox game). The service was great, the beers were great, and the food and prices were very nice. I had an especially nice time with the mashed potato side....it was so creamy and yummy! My husband had onion rings (great!) and a burger that left him smiling. I've never been to Ireland, but I have a feeling there's a nice capture in this place. Good for all ages! Sobhlasta!!!
Ri-ra's is a fantastic little piece of Ireland right on the Church street thoroughfare. From the second you walk in you feel that you are actually there ( some of the waiters even have accent's ) !!! I cannot stress enough..you MUST try the curry sauce, if you like curry this is a creamy little bowl of spicy heaven!!!! Great for dunking burgers and fries. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Still great!
Go to Ri Ra's early in the evening for a mellow atmosphere, good music, and great burgers and stout and cheddar fries, or go later in the evening for dancing and more of a party atmosphere. They have all sorts of great food in a range of prices, so it's good for simple snacking or a more elaborate meal. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

reataurant week meal
Menu in Seven Days attracted me, amongst others, so I met a friend there. They were out of something- not good when you're trying to sell your restaurant to the public during specials. Also wanted to try a Scotch Egg- none available. Guiness-soaked chop was good! Dry. Potatoes were better than normal- fried with actual grease on them, not the normal restaurant's dried-out "home fries". Desserts were good. Lovely interior. Will I return? Probably not. Best Place in Vermont for Whiskey
We always stop at the Whiskey Room when we are in Burlington if possible. This establishment has the largest selection of Whiskies we have seen anywhere in New England. Good Whiskey too. The service is hit and miss. We have had excellent service and not so good service. But the food and service is not what we go for, we stop here for the whiskey selection and the ambiance. The Ambiance is Olde England Pub Style with the dark wood and a working fireplace. Our only dissatisfaction would be the small size of the establishment. We do not usually have a full meal, just a drink, or perhaps two, and several appetizers. If you do stop in, make sure you ask for the Whiskey book and order the blue cheese/bacon fries. Nice, relaxing lunch
I think this is a great place to go for lunch and a beer. Nice portion of fish and chips too, however, I wish it was served with cole slaw. This restaurant has a ton of space in it and would be great for a private party/reception. Food: 4 Ambiance: 4 Service: 3
