Comfort food at it's best
Talk about aroma therapy, just walking in for a free slice is a dangerous thing to do. They know what they are doing when they hand out those free slices. I never make it out of there empty handed. Food: 4 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Great Bread
You'll feel good just walking into Great Harvest Bakery. They greet you with a smile, a free slice of bread and great ambiance. They also make soup and sandwiches. And in season, check out the flower gardens surrounding this historic building. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

You've got to try...
The gold rush bread, it's the special bread every Thursday (unless they changed it), it is a thick, hearty cornmeal-based bread that is to die for, kind of like Koval's anadama bread but heartier. amazing. Food: 5 Ambiance: 4 Service: 5

Delicious!
I love the breads at this place, especially the Cinnamon Swirl. Sometimes they've made a Mediterranean olive bread that's a bit like foccacia - excellent! The breads are always scrumptious and fresh. The only thing that keeps me from patronizing more frequently is knowing that it's a chain. Somehow, that dampens my spirit just a bit. Food: 5 Ambiance: 4 Service: 5

Soooo yummy!
I love this bakery! The atmosphere is open, bright and sunny. When you open the door the aroma is intoxicating and a free slice is always offered. I've tried many but my favs(at least today's favs!) are Honey whole wheat, Vt Cheddar and the raspberry teabread. So moist and delicious. Lunch is awesome and calling ahead has been a nice option when on the run but still wanting a really good sandwich and rarely over $5.00. The staff have all been very friendly and make you feel welcome. Yeah! Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Let's do lunch.
Great place to do lunch. Friendly, down-to-earth people baking excellent breads in a bright, brick old building. Love the little gardens outside the outdoor patio. I had a hummus and veggie sandwich, which required much chewing since it was 70% thickly sliced, grainy fresh-baked specialty bread. The hummus was yummy, and was just as good as a sandwich with meat, even for this adventurous omnivore. I paid less than $6 and took the rest home. Light and lively! Food: 4 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Wow...sweet!
Love the grain breads. Tried the raisin swirl and pumpkin swirl and they're a little too sweet for my taste. Free samples are wonderful, and the E-Book coupon knocks $5 off your $10 order! Food: 4 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5
