From the moment I ducked out of the sun and into the cool, sub-level, stone-lined eatery, I was in love. People slowly made their way down the stairs, reading the sign board, choosing their selection by name only (Trust the maker. Genius.), and quietly tucking themselves into nooks decorated with a most amazing mix of art and materials.

I sat on a metallic upholstered antique cast iron stool and exercised my eyes as they ran over a giant painting of a hungry baby robin; what looked like a humble medieval alter made into a table with chairs on a raised platform on one side and more antique stools on the other; and thoughtfully hung objects from Eastern Europe nearest the workstation of the craftsman himself. Who, I noticed, has a great CEE accent, has an eye for detail, doesn't miss a thing, and keeps everything absolutely immaculate.

When the expert coordinator/apprentice of this hidden gem told me it may take a little time for my order in light of the large party that beat me into this deli of delights, I said that was a-ok. It was a treat to be given time to take in the details. Like the bench with shaggy tufted cushions at one table and the soft beams of light making the painting at my feet glow.

Also, to think on what a Czech Chicken will taste like and which nook I want to claim on my next visit.

Really people, leave any hang-ups at the door and live a little. Channel your little explorer and try something new. It's good for you, and so is this place.

Best Sandwich Ever
I have been a loyal customer at this place for nearly a decade. The mystery is part of the experience as the sandwiches are listed by only name with no list of ingredients. This is not a place where they will make a sandwich to your specifications, but if you just allow them to work their magic, you will not be let down. Clearly, it helps to not have dietary restrictions, but if you are ready to go on a magical sandwich adventure, this is your place. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Burlington must
This shop is one of my 5 favorite places to eat anywhere. Period. I have been going here since 2001 and have loved almost every meal I have had there. I understand the comments some people say about being a "sandwich nazi". While I understand those concerns I think the amount of thought put into each sandwich on the board is great. I also understand the concern about not seeing what is in each sandwich, but as I have been told, they love explaining the sandwiches to people. For my money go for the Cuban, Jamaican Avacado (You can get turkey, but try it without, the flavor is amazing) or the Danish Egg. Food: 5 Ambiance: 4 Service: 5

Excellent food and service!
I love this place and honestly do not understand the previous negative comments. These are just a few of my favorites Iraq turkey w/avocado, Cuban pork, Austrian egg, every bite has a different flavor in it. It is amazing what they can do to sandwiches. On average I'm calling in an order of 7-8 sandwich's most which have have some changes and there is never an issue or problem and the order is always 100% accurate. When I go in to pick up the order, if it's not ready I watch them making them or ask questions and they are always friendly and willing to answer. Is there a normal menu board no but who cares when the food is this good. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

"It's all good"
I remember going here once and the lady in line in front of me asked Ladislav, the owner, "what's good?". His response was simply, "it's all good." I guess that wasn't exactly the answer this lady was looking for but it's so true. I've had just about every sandwich on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The drink selection is pretty good too -- most of the drinks are natural and some, like Boylans natural sodas, you can't even find at city market! Back when I lived on St. Paul Street I made it a point to visit this place at least once a week and even now try to get out there at least every now and then. Highly recommended! You will not find a better sandwich shop in VT if you enjoy variety and flavor. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Awesome Place to Be
This place is awesome if you're in the right mood. If you have time and just want a sandwich that is savory and delicious, then go here and order something with mayo or some sort of slaw or salad. For once, I actually enjoy mayo on my sandwiches thanks to Four Corners of the Earth. Try the Hungarian Slaw, Korean Kimchee, or even the Salmon Salad for sandwiches that are both comfort foods and a reasonable lunch. Don't expect anything healthy and don't expect to choose your bread, but your extremely relaxed sandwich makers are bound to make sure you're happy. Four Corners is also the only place around town where you can start a sandwich tab. These guys are awesome and their sandwiches are actually inventive with thought put into their taste. Four Corners aka "Sandwich Perfection"
Four Corners is without doubt makes the best sandwiches and soups in Burlington. Everything on the menu has a balance of flavors that I have never experienced anywhere. Ladso (owner) has a true talent for finding the best ingredients and putting them together in ways you would never think of that exceed all expectation. Iraqi Turkey, Argentinian Beef, Jamaican Avocado, Cuban Pork, Korean Kimchi - a flavor for every palate. Four Corners of the Earth is so good that my wife and had our wedding reception there. Yes it is that good. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

So delicious and Original!
Four Corner's is one of the best places to grab a sandwhich in Burlington. The Jamaican Avocado and the Japaense Tuna are my absolute favorites. The combinations of flavors are perfect, so I wouldn't change a thing about each of the sandwhiches. The decoration inside is amazing, and the sandwhiches are relativly cheap considering the love, experience, and effort that go into making the sandwhiches ($4.50-$5.75) Go there now if you have no been! Best Lunch in Burlington?
I've lunched at many different establishments in Burlington, and I must say that this is - so far - my favorite. Not only are the sandwiches inventive and eclectic, they are very yummy and relatively inexpensive. As another reviewer mentioned, this is definitely not "fast food," but one who is looking for such convenience might best be satisfied by an establishment with a drive through window. The ambiance is creative, and the extensive menu (along with the absence of descriptions) tempts one to be adventurous. The folks working behind the counter are always more than happy to answer any questions and seem ready to alter any existing combination (though I wouldn't recommend going too far from the menu; you might actually discover a new favorite flavor combination). Though the location is more convenient for some than others, it's worth traveling a little bit out of your way! Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 4

GREAT SANDWICH, but when will it be ready?
I always love coming to this place and my favorite it the Jamaican Avocado. It's perfectly seasoned with a paprika/chili blend and the bread is a crispy perfection. There's a variety of sandwiches to pick from, inspired from all regions of the globe. The only caveat is the slow service. The cook/owner is very nice and an incredible sandwich maker, however, he does take his time. Totally fine, but just don't go if you're in a rush. If you have free time, Indulge in the best sandwich in Burlington. Food: 5 Ambiance: 4 Service: 3
