Call-to-artist listings are free online and $12/2 weeks in print.
Calendar listings are free and must be received in writing by Thursday at noon for the following week's paper. Requests for calendar spotlights must be made at least two weeks in advance and must be accompanied by a good-quality photograph representing the event [minimum 300 dpi if emailed].
Seven Days does not accept unsolicited, one-time cartoons. Cartoonists seeking weekly publication can email samples and web links, or snail mail samples to the address below. Please note that we are not looking for new cartoons at this time, but will keep yours on hand for consideration at a later date. No phone calls, please!

Seven Days does not accept unsolicited fiction. Short fiction is published once a year, in the Winter Reading Issue, and is assigned by the editors. We generally do not review self-published books, but exceptions may be made at the discretion of the editors. Unpaid internships are available in the editorial, sales & marketing, and graphic design departments. Applicants must be earning college credit. We do not work with interns under age 18. We do not accept interns under age 18.
Please send a cover letter stating your objectives and interests, along with a resume and estimated schedule for the semester. Editorial intern applicants should include three writing samples. Please don't sent hard copies of any materials.
If you love, hate or call into question anything published in Seven Days, please let us know! Letters should not exceed around 250 words; be sure to include your name, town and a phone number. (You will receive a call for verification; numbers are not published in the paper.) Anonymous letters will not be published.
If you're a Vermont artist/band or playing locally, send your CD for review via snail mail, or drop off, at the address below. CDs will be reviewed roughly in the order received, with consideration given to release-party dates. Artists coming our way can request advance phone interviews; please give us at least two weeks' notice.
